Keith D. Smith, M.D., F.A.C.E.

Dr. Smith is the senior physician at TIRME and a Clinical Professor, University of Texas Medical School at Houston. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. After training in Internal Medicine he completed a fellowship in Clinical and Research Endocrinology under Dr. Emil Steinberger at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pa. He then became Chief, Division of Endocrinology, at Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. and subsequently Associate Member, Department of Endocrinology and Human Reproduction, Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia, Pa. and Assistant Professor of Medicine, Temple University School of Medicine. He relocated to Houston in 1971 and became an Associate Professor and later tenured Professor of Reproductive Medicine and Endocrinology at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. He is a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology and a member of numerous scientific societies including the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology, the Endocrine Society, the American Society of Andrology and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. He is the author or co-author of over 200 scientific publications in the field of Reproductive Medicine and Endocrinology.
